The twins are gonna keep twinnin’.
College basketball stars and social media influencers Haley and Hanna Cavinder signed a three-year footwear and apparel endorsement deal with Under Armour.
“TWO OF A KIND. Welcome to the sqUAd @haleycavinder & @hanna.cavinder,” Under Armour wrote on social media.
The twins have had an NIL deal with Under Armour since 2022, however, the relationship has taken the next step.
“Under Armour is giving us a platform to continue on our journey of inspiring the next generation,” the Cavinder twins wrote on Instagram. “Whether participating in the latest campaigns, testing out their newest gear or connecting with other athletes in the Under Armour community, this is a dream partnership with a chance to push our limits and inspire others to do the same.”
The 23-year-olds have become the face of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL), a form of student-athlete compensation that launched on July 1, 2021, through several brand deals, including Slate Milk, Boost Mobile, Champs Sports, WWE, Intuit Turbo Tax, PSD Underwear and Raising Cane’s.
They are also co-founders of Hustle Beauty, a fitness cosmetic brand.
The duo began posting on TikTok in 2020 during the COVID pandemic and quickly rose to fame for their basketball skills and workout routines, gaining more than 4.5 million followers.
After three seasons with the Fresno State’s women’s basketball team from 2019-22, they transferred to the University of Miami together for the 2022-23 season, sharing daily content about healthy lifestyle habits with their followers.
Haley, a starter, averaged 12.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists for the Hurricanes, while Hanna, a reserve, averaged 3.8 points per game.
The duo helped Miami reach the Elite Eight in 2023 for the first time in program history.
Haley, who is dating Cowboys’ tight end Jake Ferguson, announced in October 2023 she was returning to basketball and revealed in November her plans to transfer to TCU for the 2024-25 season.
Hanna, however, needed time off.
“When you’re in this position with social media, everything is out there,” Hanna said on On3 Elite Series. “There were obviously more eyes, and I didn’t get a lot of minutes.”
Those plans didn’t last.
The duo decided they would reunite on the court after Hanna revealed she was coming out of retirement to play her fifth year at Miami, and Haley announced she was joining her.
“Given the news yesterday that my sister was returning to play ball at Miami and after careful consideration and thought, I’ve decided to return to the University of Miami and play with Hanna for our final and 5th year,” Haley posted on Instagram at the time.
“There is nothing more important than family and the bond I share with my Twin sister. Being presented with the opportunity to play together one more time is something I cannot pass up. I am excited for this upcoming season and cant wait to play at the U.”
Apparently inseparable, the twins walked together in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show at the W South Beach during Miami Swim Week.
They rocked blue and orange bikinis during the big show, which featured other Sports Illustrated Swimsuit models such as Jena Sims, the wife of golfer Brooks Koepka.
Known as “the queens of NIL,” Haley and Hanna have demonstrated the influence of building a brand as college athletes.
It was reported last June that the sisters had made $2 million from NIL deals.
