Patriots’ Javon Baker goes on heated rant live over traffic ticket: ‘Why is you doing that, bro?’

Javon Baker was fuming in an Instagram Live video on Sunday morning after he alleged to have been given a traffic ticket while dropping someone off at the airport.

The Patriots rookie wide receiver took to the social media platform to vent his frustrations over the situation in a live video, which was captured and posted on X.

Baker claimed that the officer walked up to his vehicle and began yelling at him for “no reason” at one point, according to Baker, threatening to tow the Pats rookie’s car.

The receiver could be heard saying in the clip that he would get his car out the same hour and that towing it would do nothing to him.

“You towing it ain’t gonna do nothing to me,” Baker said. “Come on, bro. You got other s– to worry about. He wanna give me a goddamn ticket. … Why is you doing that, bro? I’m dropping somebody off at the airport.”

The incident appeared to lead to the officer and Baker yelling at one another.

It wasn’t exactly clear why Baker was handed a ticket, but he did seem to mention having his plate covered and his front windshield tinted.

“You ain’t gonna start yelling at me and thinking I’m not fitting to yell back,” Baker said. “Who does you think you is?” Baker asked. “Just cuz you a police officer, that don’t mean nothing, bro. With my tax dollars, I pay you. Come on, bro, you work for me.”

Baker didn’t identify which police agency or airport he had been to when he was dropping someone off.

During the preseason, Baker had five receptions for 56 yards.
