Nikki Bella gushed over husband Artem Chigvintsev days before his domestic violence arrest: ‘It was all meant to be’
Nikki Bella raved about her love for husband Artem Chigvintsev just days before he was arrested on a felony domestic violence charge.
On Monday, August 26, Bella, 40, gushed over Chigvintsev, 42, in an Instagram post celebrating their second wedding anniversary.
The former WWE Diva shared a highlight reel from her 2022 Paris wedding to the “Dancing With the Stars” pro set to Haley Reinhart’s rendition of the Elvis classic, “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” Bella quoted the song’s lyrics in her caption.
“This song is our love story,” she wrote. “I’ll never forget where I was when I asked Jesus about Artem. Having a conversation with He & God.”
“How my feelings felt too soon,” she continued. “It all felt too fast. And then this song came on. And that’s when I knew that I was falling in love with him and that it was all meant to be. 🙏🏼✨”
She signed off, “Happy Anniversary @theartemc I love you! ❤️🔥.”
Chigvintsev commented on Bella’s post, “Love you ♥️.”
The dance pro also posted an Instagram tribute of his own, sharing two photos from his and the “Total Divas” star’s wedding day. “Happy anniversary my love,” he captioned the snaps.
“[C]an’t see my life with out you[.] You are my everything ❤️.”
“Happy Anniversary Click 🥹❤️🔥💋 Love you so much!” Bella replied in the comments.
Chigvintsev was booked by Sheriff’s deputies in Napa County, California on Thursday under a California penal code that makes it “illegal to injure a spouse, cohabitant or fellow parent in an act of domestic violence.”
It is not clear, however, if Bella, who also goes by Nikki Garcia professionally, was involved. The alleged victim has asked for total confidentiality, Napa County Sheriff’s spokesperson Henry Woffard told The Post.
Chigvintsev was released on $25,000 bail at 2:18 p.m. PT. His mugshot was also made public.
The “DWTS” pro and Bella share a home in Napa where they live with their 4-year-old son, Matteo, who was born in July 2020. Bella seems to have been in Napa at the time of her husband’s arrest. She posted a selfie taken at a Downtown Napa day spa on Wednesday.
The couple met in 2017 when Bella was a contestant on “DWTS.”
She was engaged to WWE star-turned-actor John Cena at the time. Cena and Bella called off their engagement in July 2018, and by January 2019, Chigvintsev and the Bella twin had reportedly begun dating.
The pair’s lavish 2022 wedding was documented in the reality TV series, “Nikki Bella Says I Do.”
Chigvintsev will not be returning to “DWTS” for Season 33. He has previously been on every season of the show since Season 19 except for Season 21 and Season 28.
The Post has reached out to reps for Chigvintsev and Bella.
