Emma Stone clarifies whether she called Jimmy Kimmel a ‘p—k’ at Oscars

Did sticks and Stones break his bones?

A month after Hollywood’s biggest night, Emma Stone is clearing the air on her allegedly calling Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel a “p—k.”

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she was reminded that “some people thought you called Kimmel a p—k.”

The actress responded, “No! I didn’t call him a p—k. What did I say? I didn’t call him a p—k. I wasn’t upset with him at all. I’ll have to look that up.”

Rumors have swirled since the ceremony about the comment after Kimmel, 56, cracked a joke about her nominated film, “Poor Things” — which earned Stone, 35, her second Best Actress Oscar.

Following clips, the late-night host said, “Those were all the parts of ‘Poor Things’ that we’re allowed to show on TV.”

Kimmel was referencing the R-rated movie’s numerous risqué scenes.

When the camera cut to Stone, she mumbled something to her husband, Dave McCary.

Social media sleuths assumed she called Kimmel the term of not-so-much-endearment, but others thought she could have been agreeing with him.

Stone started off her acceptance speech with a joke of her own, addressing a wardrobe malfunction: “Hoo boy, my dress is broken. I think it happened during ‘I’m Just Ken.’ I’m pretty sure.” (At the time, her frequent collaborator Ryan Gosling had just performed the track from his film “Barbie.”)

“Oh, boy, this is really, this is really overwhelming. Sorry. My voice is also a little gone, whatever! The women on the stage, you are all incredible, and the women in this category: Sandra [Hüller], Annette [Bening], Carey [Mulligan], Lily [Gladstone], I share this with you. I am in awe of you, and it has been such an honor to do all of this together. I hope we get to keep doing more together. I don’t know what I’m saying.”

She ended her time onstage with, “Oh, wait, I just — I know I have to wrap up, but I really just want to thank my family, my mum, my brother, Spencer, my dad, my husband, Dave. I love you so much. And most importantly, my daughter who’s gonna be three in three days and has turned our lives technicolor. I love you bigger than the whole sky, my girl. So thank you so much. Don’t look at the back of my dress. Thank you.

Kimmel has yet to respond to the rumors.
